2008 part II

July; the next on the list, Summer Case festival that was held at Forum as well. There the highlights were Kings of Leon, Blondie, Primal Scream. The biggest disappointment was Six Pistols, don´t know what I did expect but I thought it was rubbish!

August;when this month started I got this emptiness inside of me, all the party's are ending, summer soon over. Another summer that wouldn´t last forever..So when my friends started to talk about a trip to Llança, I wasn´t the last one to sign up!
Llança is north of Barcelona and it´s lying on the seaside. If you want to get out of Barcelona for a few days its a brilliant place to go. If you don´t have a car you can easy take a train. For timetable check out Renfe

This is one of the beaches that you find in Llança

As many of you know August is one of the hottest months in Spain, so Emma and I couldn't´t miss out on going to Scotland for a few days to feel the cold. Lucky us our super friend Russell lent us his flat and he came to pick us up at Glasgow airport.

Photo; first day on the bus

The first day have to say we got totally taken on the bed, by the kindness of the Scots. God yes of course we know from our friends that they are lovely people. But our first morning we wake up.. and its raining and YES the only thing we forgot were our umbrellas.. So in the rain we ran to Marks & Spencer's at a gas station a couple of blocks down the road, asking for just umbrellas. The super sweet lady tells us SOMETHING..yes something coz we have NO clue what she is saying. She repeats.. Still we have no clue. On the third go we finally get it, they have sold out on umbrellas, NO umbrellas.
So as we are on our way to leave, the sweet lady tells us to wait, she´´ll go and check the staffroom for one, but there was non. So we try to leave again, she tells us she has one in her car, but its half broken but if we want we could have it! We thank her so very much and go out the door, then we realizes that we have no money. Luckily there´s a ATM at the gas station as well. So happy we leave to get the bus..
Well on the bus when we are going to pay the driver tells us it´s exact change (3 Pound or so)you need for paying and we get on with 50 Pound notes. We explain the situation, just arrived from Spain, no exact change.. Mr Bus Driver scans our faces, then asks us were we are going. We stutter, Bath street Sir. He takes one final look then says; Well go on then! We go and take a seat in the end of the bus to discuss the kindness of the Scottish people all the way to our stop!

Safe and sound in the center WE WENT BANANAS WITH THE SHOPPING! (So no more pictures that day and non more of Glasgow, coz I ran out of battery and forgot to by new one´s all the time..)

Oh if you go to Glasgow you have to try the Metro/Subway. OMG, it´s the smallest thing I have ever been in and if I´m not wrong it´s the third oldest in the world!

One of the other days we went with another Scotsman to Edinburgh and on the way there we stopped in Linlithgow to visit my goddaughter. In Edinburgh the yearly city festival was on (its the whole month of August)so we just spent a couple of hours there coz it was so crowded and cold. We did manage to go to Harvey Nichol´s rooftop bar for a drink and to look at the view.

September;was totally ruled by RED BULL MUSIC ACADEMY

I was not a participant, was working with the catering, serving 100 to 150 people lunch and dinner every night. Every night a few participants had a gig somewhere in town and of course we were there to check it out! Had so much fun, meeting so many new interesting and talented persons.

Of this event I could put out sooo many photos..

October; I started my "real" job and with that I mean something that's related to my studies. So happy that I almost cried when they told me YES, the job is yours! So now I´m a Pepe Jeans employee!

November a quiet month, hard to start a 09 to 18 job after not having to get up after 12 for the last 6 months.. But we did though celebrate Thanksgiving, our Super Girl from Florida Michele bought a turkey bigger then I don´t know what and of course served with all the specialties that goes with it!

December; weekend in the month I was of once again to Scotland, this time for the christening of my goddaughter and her twin sister!

This first photo has nothing to do with me or my friends, we just happened to walk by the Palace of Linlithgow and this just got married couple were taking their wedding photo. Thought it was a bit crazy coz it was bloody freezing and OK thought their clothing were hilarious.

The cake!

And to the last happening of the year..Christmas and new year in Sweden!!!
